[SCR] 6 – Balcony

By

“It’s me.”

The voice, somewhat uneasy, came from a large tree with branches extending beyond the gate wall to the outside of the property, hidden by leaves. If she looked closely, the person who had been plaguing her thoughts peeked his head out of the bushes towards her.

Idyllia gasped.

“Sir Silvio…!”

She called out to him, and he put his finger to his lips, shushing her. That’s right. It would be a disaster if he were found out. Idyllia held her mouth with her hand, and he asked softly.

“Um, …, I’d like to talk to you, just for a few minutes.”

“… alright.”

“Can I come over to you?”

“Yes, … yes, of course ….”

Her voice rose in joy. As she was embarrassed by this, he nimbly slid down a branch and came to the balcony. Eventually, she came face to face with the other person, who had descended three steps away from her. With the person, she had been dying to meet.

”…!”

Just looking at each other filled her heart. Her prayers were answered. God had granted her wish to see him once more! With such joy in her heart, Idyllia gazed into his eyes with her thoughts.

(If you came to see me this late at night … in secret, could it be …?)

Anticipation and hopes grew. As she desperately tried to suppress them, he awkwardly opened his mouth.

“I thought I came here to ask you about… various things, but I don’t care anymore.”

He said as he stood still. His voice sounded as if he was purring with overflowing thoughts, and Idyllia’s heart began to beat frantically. She had been anxious and worried, but now she felt like she had found the answer in those frighteningly sincere moon-white eyes. Silvio whispered with a tearful look in his eyes.

“I’ve missed you so much, Idyllia.”

“Me too. I feel as if I have longed for you for a lifetime. And yet, I had to leave you so soon…. Since I left you, every moment has felt like a day. It was so long, so empty, so … lonely ….”

Without letting anyone else say it, Silvio took Idyllia’s hand. Her hand, which was shy at first, was gradually filled with strength. Just like that, Idyllia’s heart sped up, leaping in surges.

“Sir Silvio ….”

He closed his eyes, feeling tremendously happy. He whispered as he squeezed out.

“You are the woman God has prepared for me. It’s why I was so taken with you at first glance.”

“I, too, was convinced at first glance. You are my destiny…..”

When she returned his passionate words with the same amount of desire, he continued with even more earnestness.

“It must also mean something that you met me before you blossomed beautifully. I won’t give you to anyone; I’ll visit you every night. I will give you flowers every day. I will do everything I can to hold on to your heart. So … you won’t forsake me …?”

“Yes.”

He spun his words frantically, and she couldn’t help but love him.

“Until I am old enough to marry – and then forever afterwards – my heart is yours. Sir Silvio.”

How happy they were, gazing at each other up close and whispering their love to each other with rapturous feelings! As the sweet sensations intoxicated her, Silvio hesitantly cut in.

“I’m not comfortable saying these things when we’ve just met, but … can I embrace you …?”

“… yes.”

He gently wrapped his hands around Idyllia, who gave a slight nod. When she received his gentle embrace, an indescribable feeling of emotion washed over her. It would appear that Idyllia was not the only one who was moved to tears. Silvio whispered to her in a shaky voice as if he had been carried away by a fever.

“You can’t imagine how happy I am right now…..”

“You’ve stolen the words from my mouth.”

The two gazed at each other and exchanged smiles. As if to convey their excitement, gratitude, and happiness at having met each other. The sweet encounter enthralled the newly formed lovers and made them forget the long night.
